Florida Declares CAIR a Foreign Terrorist Organization
US Congress must now do the same
On Tuesday, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) issued Executive Order 25-244 formally declaring the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as a Foreign Terrorist Organization. The action orders all Florida state agencies to deny any and all material support or resources to the organization.
While DeSantis’ actions are welcome in the state that has the third-largest Jewish population outside of Israel, Congress must now make this a FEDERAL policy as well.
Rep. Randy Fine (R-FL) has introduced HR 4097, which would require the federal government to follow suit, by passing the “Designate CAIR as a Terrorist Organization Act.”
CAIR has been spewing antisemitic lies since its inception. CAIR’s anti-israel propaganda appears to be working. Public support for Israel is plummeting and is now the lowest in 25 years at only 46%, according to Gallup. And support for the Palestinians is higher than ever, rising to 33%.
At one time, CAIR was an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation for Relief and Development trial, which was a case about funding terrorists.
During the trial brought by the United States against the Holy Land Foundation Relief and Development organization, evidence was presented alleging relationships between the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), its founders (including the leadership at that time), and the Palestine Committee, which had links to Hamas, a designated terrorist organization.
CAIR has routinely pumped out antisemitic propaganda.
Every day, American media rages at Israel, repeating Hamas lies about famine and genocide in Gaza. And more than half of Senate Democrats voted to block aid to Israel!
What’s going on? Many factors are at play, but I want to focus on the poisonous tip of the spear — the infamous CAIR.
A power player in Washington with branches nationwide, CAIR has supported Hamas. A darling of Democrats, it exists to enthrone Islam in America — and destroy Israel. All while casting itself as a civil rights champion that “defends the oppressed” and works to “advance justice for all.” Not even close.
