When Israel declared independence in 1948, it INVITED Arabs living inside its borders to “participate in the upbuilding of the State on the basis of full and equal citizenship.”

But the Arab world answered with an onslaught of bullets and bombs — much as Islamic terrorists do today. Five Muslim Arab nations invaded the newborn country in a failed jihad “to drive all the Jews into the sea.”

Seventy-five years later, Palestinians like U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MN) bitterly condemn Israel for the hundreds of thousands of Palestinians who fled into surrounding Arab nations for safety when those Arab nations attacked. But Israel was not to blame ... not at all.

A 1949 British investigation in Gaza reported that ...

While [the refugees] express no bitterness against the Jews, they speak with the utmost bitterness of the Egyptians and other Arab states. “We know who our enemies are,” they will say, referring to their Arab brothers who, they declare, persuaded them unnecessarily to leave their homes.

But Tlaib repeats her ugly and utterly false “nakba” accusations against Israel in her House resolution, which she introduced last month. It repeats the original “nakba” lie and adds many others.

She even attacks the U.S. Our nation, H.Res. 388 asserts, “is complicit in Israel’s ongoing Nakba against the Palestinian people by providing Israel with weapons and diplomatic support.”

Make no mistake. Tlaib and others want to end U.S. support for the Jewish state and turn Israel into a pariah nation.

In short, that is Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s evil agenda. Yet Democrats are almost completely silent about this blatant antisemitism.

Senate Majority Leader Charles Schumer (D-NY), who is Jewish, said and did nothing to stop the slander and smearing of Israel Tlaib conducted in a U.S. Senate hearing room after House Speaker McCarthy removed Tlaib and her hate party from the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center.

Schumer claimed not to know. Right.

Here’s the truth: There was no “nakba.” And there is no “continuing nakba.” Israel today is ...

• A lighthouse of freedom.

• The ONLY democracy in the Muslim-dominated Middle East.

• The ONE place where — amid the iron rule of neighboring Muslim authoritarian states — Arabs enjoy equality before the law, due process, and full religious liberty.

The truth is that Israeli Arabs have it better in Israel than anywhere else across the Middle East — which is why they are NOT leaving in droves for “paradises” like Iran, Syria, or Gaza.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib’s sole aim with H.Res 388 is to destroy Israel. We must ensure she never succeeds. Please join me now in raising our voices as one and DEMAND that the U.S. Congress REJECTS Tlaib’s anti-Jewish lies along with her disastrous and deceitful H.Res 388.
