Hady Amr, Biden’s new “Special Representative for Palestinian Affairs,” once said he was “inspired by the Palestinian intifada”—the killing spree that took the lives of some 1,300 Israeli civilians.

But that is not all. Amr, Biden’s trusted lieutenant, has also accused Israel of atrocities like

• “Brutal attacks against [Palestinian] civilians.”
• “Ethnic cleansing.”
• An “ongoing illegal occupation.”

You cannot make malevolence like this up. But let me give you hope ...

As I write, Jews worldwide are celebrating Hanukkah, which looks back to a time when God brought deliverance to the Jewish people through the valiant Maccabees.

God will NOT abandon His people, Israel. He has restored the Jewish people to the land He gave them ... and will one day fully restore them to Himself.

Despite the antisemitic threats levied against the Israelis, the God of Israel WILL defend His people. The Lord has given in Scripture breathtaking pledges of His faithful love for His people. Here is one:

I will bring them back to this place, and I will make them dwell in safety. ... I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul (Jeremiah 32:37,41).

God is doing precisely this in our time! You and I are witnesses to the truth of God’s Word.

Now is the time to bless Israel, to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and to defend God’s chosen people!
