Joe Biden labeled his massive giveaway to Hezbollah as a “breakthrough agreement” and “an anchor for regional stability and prosperity.” And he hailed caretaker Prime Minister Yair Lapid for his “persistent and principled diplomacy.”

But the agreement only came after Israel, as Benjamin Netanyahu railed, “completely surrendered to all of Hezbollah’s demands.” Despite Biden’s happy talk that the deal “preserves and further enhances Israel’s security and economic interests,” Netanyahu called it a “shameful surrender”:

“Nasrallah receives Israeli sovereign territory and a gas field worth billions of dollars. He will not build with this money hospitals and kindergartens; he will use this money to arm himself with missiles and rockets against us. This is a shameful surrender under the threat of terrorism that will not bring us terrorism but a war under much more difficult conditions."

The Biden team brokered the agreement that Netanyahu promised to nullify when he takes office. It will give Hezbollah, which dominates Lebanon and exists to destroy Israel, BILLIONS in natural gas revenue.

Former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman called the outcome “100% to Lebanon and 0% to Israel.” Israel’s abject surrender in the U.S.-led negotiations with Lebanon came after Hezbollah ATTACKED an Israeli natural gas drilling operation and threatened worse.

Hezbollah chief Hassan Nasrallah said their “eyes and missiles are directed towards” an Israeli offshore gas platform unless a deal was reached.

What makes this Biden-crafted deal even more dangerous to Israel is that Hezbollah, which is controlled by Iran, exists to destroy Israel. Hezbollah’s 1985 manifesto declares “our struggle will end only when this entity [Israel] is obliterated.” Right now, Hezbollah has some 150,000 missiles pointed at Israel. And many have precision guidance systems and are long range.

Friedman told an Israeli newspaper he assumes it was the Biden team’s pressure that forced the Israeli giveaway. Sen. Ted Cruz agrees.

“I am deeply troubled that Biden officials pressured our Israeli allies to hand over their territory to the Iran-controlled terrorist group Hezbollah,” Cruz tweeted. “Another topic for the next Republican Congress to investigate.”

Biden’s overtly political gambit to pressure Saudi Arabia to keep gas prices from jumping before the Nov. 8 election is another matter that demands investigation.

Biden, who has strangled U.S. domestic oil production and looked the other way while Iran has taken in billions selling oil to China, demanded that the Saudis pump more to enhance Democrats’ prospects in November—a demand the Saudis rejected. Add to that Biden’s interference in Israeli elections by warning against a member of Netanyahu’s electoral coalition.

All this demands a thorough congressional probe to expose Biden’s influence peddling and his politicization of the powers of the Oval Office. I ask you to please sign our petition and fax Congress now, demanding a full investigation into Biden’s outrageous and destabilizing actions.
