Israel is not following Joe Biden’s lead like they did Donald Trump’s. Rather, the Jewish state is preparing for war. Israel’s military held a series of massive drills in May—deploying hundreds of planes to simulate hitting distant targets. Its F-35 stealth jets can now reach Iran without refueling, carrying a one-ton bomb.

At home, Israeli breakthroughs are hardening the Jewish state’s defenses. A new laser defense system to be deployed next year will intercept rockets and drones for just 2 dollars a hit. And a new radar system can track thousands of targets at the same time.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has urged the world to act against Iran “using all means,” but Israel, he stressed, reserves the right to act alone if Joe Biden and the international community fail the test.

Iran could not be more transparent about its intentions for Israel. Ayatollah Khamenei, Iran’s “supreme leader,” calls Israel a “cancerous tumor” that “must be eradicated.” Another leading ayatollah has promised that the Islamic regime “will turn Tel Aviv and Haifa to rubble.”

Meantime, Biden is waging a stealth campaign against Israel ...

• A U.S. intelligence official leaked in May to the New York Times that Israel was behind the killing of a high-ranking Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps official.

• Biden, who visits Israel in July, will reportedly announce more millions for the Palestinians and pay a visit to East Jerusalem, an Arab enclave. That cynical move will bolster the Palestinians’ claim on the Holy City.

• Biden’s administration is still working to reopen the Palestinian consulate in Jerusalem that President Trump closed—a move that will divide Jerusalem and roll back Trump’s recognition of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel.

And Mahmoud Abbas told a visiting senior U.S. State Department official in June that the Palestinian Authority’s “goal is to get rid of the occupation”—by which Abbas meant the Jewish state of Israel. But that veiled call for Israel’s elimination did not provoke a bit of protest from the American side.

Nor do Iran’s genocidal threats against the Jewish state, which are now strengthened by the Islamic regime’s new status as a budding nuclear power.

A recent poll shows young American adults’ support for Israel is weakening—something that bodes ill for the future. That is why the work of CIDI in educating about Israel and mobilizing public support for the Jewish state is so important.
