Despite the Nakba lie that Tlaib parrots in her House-introduced resolution, Israel had no expulsion policy whatsoever in the 1948 war. As Benny Morris, a leading Israeli scholar of the war, explains:

At no stage of the 1948 war was there a decision by the leadership of the Yishuv [pre-1948 Jewish community] or the state to “expel the Arabs.”

But the most powerful denial of the Nakba myth comes from Arabs themselves. They testify that it was Arab leaders, not Israel, who provoked the mass flight of Palestinian refugees in 1948-49 ...

The Arab armies entered Palestine to protect the Palestinians from the Zionist tyranny but, instead, they abandoned them, forced them to emigrate and to leave their homeland. ...

The Arab States encouraged the Palestine Arabs to leave their homes temporarily in order to be out of the way of the Arab invasion armies.

You can see the truth for yourself. From their own lips, Arab authorities—including the current PRESIDENT of the Palestinian Authority—testify that it was not Israel but Arab nations that incited the stampede of Palestinian refugees.

The poisonous lie that Israel is to blame is utterly baseless. But it is “gospel truth” in the Arab/Muslim world. And now Rashida Tlaib wants to make this Palestinian propaganda official U.S. policy!
