U.S. Rep. Rashida Tlaib is asking the U.S. House of Representatives to curse Israel, and to remake America into a pro-Palestinian nation.

“Nakba” is Arabic for “the catastrophe.” It’s the term Palestinians use to defame and pour scorn on Israel’s modern rebirth on May 14, 1948. Every year on May 15, Palestinians disparage Israel’s very existence by observing “Nakba Day.”

On May 15, 2022 (Nakba Day), Tlaib introduced House Resolution 1123, which overtly slanders Israel, charging that the Jewish state in 1948 forcibly removed some 750,000 Arabs from what is now Israel.

That is a LIE, of course. However, Tlaib’s resolution calls on U.S. lawmakers to recognize the Nakba myth as fact.

And it claims that those original Arab refugees—along with their descendants, estimated to number more than 5 million people—all have the right to return to Israel, a move that would destabilize and destroy the Holy Land.

Tell Congress: VOTE NO on H.Res. 1123!

You may be as incensed as I am to learn that Tlaib’s resolution puts America on the Palestinians’ side. It seeks to make it U.S. policy to:

• “Commemorate” the Nakba lie through “official recognition and remembrance.”

• “Reject ... denial of the Nakba.”

• “Encourage education ... of the [so-called] facts of the Nakba.”

• “Support the implementation of Palestinian refugees’ rights.”

Tlaib’s resolution is a thermonuclear strike aimed at Israel’s VERY EXISTENCE! It’s an attempt to cut U.S. aid to Israel and sever the strong bond between our two nations.

And it must NOT go unanswered.

That is why we have created CIDI’s own resolution detailing the TRUTH about the so-called Nakba (catastrophe). This Rejecting the Nakba Big Lie resolution defends Israel and demolishes the pack of lies in the Tlaib-introduced measure.
