In an alarming signal of growing hostility toward Israel inside Congress and the Democrat Party, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) introduced a House resolution in May that endorses the central Palestinian myth used to demonize and condemn Israel.

Palestinians mark “Nakba”—Arabic for catastrophe—every year on May 15, one day after the anniversary of Israel’s birth on May 14, to mourn and protest Israel’s alleged “war crimes.” And to dolefully protest Israel’s very existence.

This Palestinian BIG LIE asserts that Israel drove hundreds of thousands of Arabs from their homes in 1948, creating a massive refugee crisis that continues to this day.

But contemporary British testimony demonstrates the falsehood and inaccuracy of the Nakba narrative ...

While [the refugees] express no bitterness against the Jews, they speak with the utmost bitterness of the Egyptians and other Arab states. “We know who our enemies are,” they will say, and they are referring to their Arab brothers who, they declare, persuaded them unnecessarily to leave their homes.

The truth is that “the Arab States encouraged the Palestine Arabs to leave their homes temporarily in order to be out of the way of the Arab invasion armies,” according to the Jordanian newspaper Filastin, February 19, 1949.

Now Tlaib, with her resolution, wants the U.S.—as a matter of official government policy—to join the Palestinians’ Nakba lies. Tlaib, supported by fellow “Squad” members—Ilhan Omar, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Cori Bush and other anti-Israel House Democrats—wants to fan the flame of anti-Israel hate by making this poisonous Palestinian fiction official U.S. policy!

She is using her seat in Congress to popularize baseless lies about Israel—and in so doing, giving the enemies of the Jewish state fresh ammunition for their attacks.

This assault on Israel cannot go unanswered. That is why we have drafted a counter-resolution detailing the TRUTH about the so-called Nakba and refuting the ugly lies recited in the Tlaib-introduced resolution.

Your signature on this document refuting the Nakba’s false claims against Israel will be sent to House leaders, urging it be introduced and passed to put the House on record as fully REPUDIATING Tlaib’s baseless Nakba myth.

Not long ago, it was unthinkable that any American politician would demonize Israel and God’s chosen people. But Rashida Tlaib and her anti-Israel “Squad” friends are gaining support.
