Palestinian Authority Withholds Key Evidence
When a reporter for anti-Israel media outlet Al Jazeera was killed last month while covering a clash between Israeli soldiers and Palestinian terrorists, Rep. Ilhan Omar IMMEDIATELY blamed Israel.
And now Omar—who previously accused both Israel and the U.S. of “unthinkable atrocities”—is taking the next step. She wants the U.S. to join the notoriously anti-Israel International Criminal Court (ICC)—a move that will bolster the radical crusade to defame, delegitimize and destroy Israel.
There is no evidence, as I write, that Israel targeted a journalist—something Israel Defense Forces rules absolutely prohibit. The bullet taken from the body of Al Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh is of a type used by both IDF forces and Palestinian terror groups.
But rather than cooperate with Israel in a joint investigation, the Palestinian Authority (PA) is EXPLOITING Abu Akleh’s death to demonize Israel. The PA refuses to hand over the bullet so Israel can conduct tests that could be conclusive.
Instead, Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas has, like Omar and her fellow Squad members, condemned Israel without offering any evidence. In a bald-faced lie and blatant smear, Abbas called the killing of the Al Jazeera reporter “part of the occupation’s policy of targeting journalists to obscure the truth and commit crimes silently.”
Just like Omar, Abbas wants to haul Israel before the International Criminal Court because “Israel cannot go unpunished.”
And to show you just how absurd and outlandish the onslaught against Israel is over this incident, consider the fact that some 400 journalists have been killed in the past five years while reporting from conflicts. Despite that fact …
-
NONE of those journalists’ deaths inspired the international outrage that erupted immediately after Abu Akleh’s death.
-
NONE so provoked the world’s anger that the United Nations Security Council unanimously condemned Abu Akleh’s killing, demanding “an immediate, thorough, transparent, and impartial investigation into her killing.”
-
And NONE of the other deaths prompted immediate, rash and unfounded accusations targeting a nation.
But while Omar lashes out at Israel, she has not denounced the wave of Palestinian terror that led to the murder of 19 people across Israel this spring. Instead, Omar, Tlaib and Ocasio-Cortez fire off poisonous attacks on Israel.
Their vile assaults—unthinkable from members of the U.S. Congress just a decade ago—reflect the surging anti-Israel sentiment inside the Democrat Party and come at a time of rising antisemitism in America.

Please also consider making a recurring monthly gift to support CIDI’s vital ministry. When you give, you help us recruit and mobilize more pro-Israel Americans, you help us make the compelling case for Israel in Washington and you raise up new ambassadors for Israel through Covenant Journey, which takes promising young Christian leaders to Israel for transformational 10-day visits.
But we cannot do any of this without friends like you.
Please make your special gift today.

P.S. Please prayerfully consider making a financial gift to support our important work. Your support is more urgently needed than ever before. With the Biden administration in power, Israel can no longer rely on the United States’ support. In fact, Biden’s many anti-Israel Cabinet and agency leaders have led Israeli officials to expect adverse policies and actions from the United States!
P.P.S. Don’t Forget to FAX CONGRESS! Please send your faxes and sign our petition TODAY!
