Dear Speaker Pelosi, House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, et al.:

Ilhan Omar’s tireless crusade to defame, delegitimize and destroy the Jewish state of Israel has taken a new turn. Omar, infamous for smearing Israel for its “evil doings,” “ethnic cleansing,” “crimes against humanity” and “unthinkable atrocities,” now wants to enlist the International Criminal Court (ICC) against America’s close friend and ally.

H.Res.1058, introduced by Rep. Omar, calls on the U.S. to “become a full member of the International Criminal Court”—a notoriously anti-Israel body now prosecuting the Jewish state for alleged “war crimes.” And that’s not all. Omar has also introduced H.R. 7522, a measure to create an Office of Global Criminal Justice within the U.S. State Department.

Both measures are naked attempts to enhance or create institutional cudgels with which the enemies of Israel—Omar included—can bludgeon the Jewish state on the international stage.

As a friend of Israel and as a U.S. citizen, I am asking you to vigorously oppose both measures, to stand with the Jewish state and to REJECT Ilhan Omar’s attacks on Israel!
