The angry rush to condemn Israel after the death of Al Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh is disturbing evidence of the irrational obsession many have with the Jewish state. Let me give you a few more examples.

Rep. Rashida Tlaib—a socialist Democrat from Michigan—blasted Israel after the reporter’s death. A Muslim, Tlaib immediately fingered Israel as the guilty party:

When will the world and those who stand by Apartheid Israel that continues to murder, torture and commit war crimes finally say: “Enough”? Shireen Abu Akleh was murdered by a government that receives unconditional funding by our country with zero accountability.

Apartheid? Murder? Torture? War Crimes? Tlaib has no evidence ... but that’s no obstacle. And there’s more ...

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez—the socialist Democrat from New York—charged that Israel “killed” the reporter, Abu Akleh. And she threatened U.S. aid to Israel: “Our tax dollars are a part of this. . . . There has to be some sort of line that we draw.”

Al Jazeera, a jihad propaganda outlet the terrorist group Hamas HONORED last year for its “high professionalism,” immediately condemned Israel for its “blatant murder” of Abu Akleh.

Before any facts were on the table, the “Terror TV” network convicted Israel of a “heinous crime” in the death of its reporter whom “Israeli occupation forces assassinated in cold blood.” Al Jazeera published that ugly and utterly false slander to millions across the Arab world, fomenting hate and fury against Israel.

The entire baying mob—Omar, Tlaib, Ocasio-Cortez, Al Jazeera and others—are indulging in nothing less than blood libel—an ugly and false accusation of murder.

There is no evidence, as I write, that Israel targeted a journalist—something Israel Defense Forces rules absolutely prohibit. The type of bullet taken from the body of Al Jazeera reporter Shireen Abu Akleh is reportedly used by both IDF forces and Palestinian terrorists.

A relentless and bitter enemy of Israel, Ilhan Omar has introduced resolutions in Congress to make the U.S. a full member of the International Criminal Court—a tribunal that has become one of the Palestinian Authority’s favorite forums for lodging false accusations against Israel.

The goal is to turn America away from being Israel’s most loyal advocate and partner and instead to act as judge and executioner, an enemy of the Jewish state.
