US Suspects Iran of Civilian Drone Deaths

The Middle East is at a volatile point with world powers wondering if Israel and Iran are about to erupt like a powder keg. Read on for the latest, but first, take a moment to fax the Senate and DEMAND senators STOP THE IRAN DEAL! —Mat

Israel and Iran have two of the most capable military forces in the Middle East, so the U.S. and other world leaders are deeply concerned about what’s now happening in the region.

Tensions are high as two civilian crew members aboard the oil tanker Mercer Street were killed last week in what was reportedly a death-by-drone incident.

So-called “suicide drones” detonated above the vessel’s bridge in the Arabian Sea. Registered in Liberia and owned by a Japanese firm, the tanker is managed by London-based Zodiac Maritime, a company owned by Israeli billionaire Eyal Ofer.

Insider reports this week that this is “the first time civilians have been killed in a shadowy battle between Israel and Iran.” Officials from Israel, the U.S. and the U.K. have blamed Tehran, which has denied any involvement in the fatal incident. The U.S. military says the drones were "nearly identical" to those Iran has used in the past.

Because civilians were killed, this raises the temperature in the region as well as the possibility of overt war.

Here’s some context ...

The U.S.-Iran talks that would take us back to the 2015 Iran Deal are on hold for the moment as Iran’s new administration settles into place.

Joe Biden’s administration is striving hard to go back to the nuclear deal with Jew-hating Iran, which puts Israel on edge and ever-ready for war—of necessity, especially now that the “Butcher of Tehran,” Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi, is running the show.

Iran also has made moves to enrich uranium to 20% purity, according to a recently released International Atomic Energy Agency report.

If Iran moves forward with its aggressive nuclear program, the Israeli government is concerned that the U.S. and other Western powers won't come down hard on Tehran.

We must demand that the Senate do everything possible to stop Iran and Biden’s new Iran Deal. Send your urgent fax to Demand Senators Stop the Iran Deal Now!

In a meeting Wednesday, Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett told CIA Director Bill Burns that the U.S. and Israel should start working on a joint strategy in case Iran decides not to return to the original nuclear deal.

Biden and Bennett are expected to meet in Washington later this month.

No matter what happens in this phase of the Iran Deal negotiations, Israel needs our prayers. Your prayers and support are critically important in times like these. God bless you for your support of His chosen people!

Your gift is also now especially important because our pro-Israel voice needs to be heard on Capitol Hill. Your generosity mobilizes support for Israel across America. That's why your donation now—at this point of crisis for the Jewish state—is so needed.

It's time to STOP THE NEW IRAN DEAL!

God bless you as you stand with Israel,

Mat Staver, Chairman
Christians in Defense of Israel

P.S. Don’t let Joe Biden and the Democrats sell Israel down the river. Fax the Senate now and DEMAND senators STOP THE IRAN DEAL!

P.P.S. Your generosity enables Christians in Defense of Israel to make a pro-Israel difference in the halls of power in Washington, D.C., the Middle East and throughout the world. Please stand with us to bless Israel by giving generously.
