Just four years ago, President Donald Trump called Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu a mere two days into his presidency — and then President Trump hosted the Israeli leader at the White House just three weeks later.

But Joe Biden is giving Israel the cold shoulder. He had not phoned Netanyahu after three weeks in office. His press secretary suggested he might get around to a call in the "weeks ahead."

And that's not all. Prime Minister Netanyahu exploded in fury when the International Criminal Court determined last month that it will pursue "war crimes" charges against Israel!

Israelis could soon be tried for "crimes against humanity," just for building homes on their God-given homeland. Or, as P.M. Netanyahu decried, for defending Israel "against terrorists who murder our children and rocket our cities." 

"This is pure anti-Semitism," Netanyahu thundered.

Joe Biden? He said nothing. His State Department offered a tepid statement of "serious concerns." But no action.

But here's what's worst of all. Biden is determined to return the U.S. to the catastrophic Iran deal. His National Security Advisor calls it a "critical early priority."

The bizarre and foolhardy 2015 compact enriched Iran—the world's leading sponsor of terror. It sent pallets of American cash to Iran, giving the tyrants of Tehran billions to arm their terror proxies and sow mayhem across the Middle East.

But far worse, the misbegotten deal gives Iran a clear path to nuclear weapons—and the chance to see their fevered dream of a mushroom cloud over Tel Aviv come true.

President Trump justifiably withdrew America from the Iran Deal in 2018 and slapped crushing sanctions on the radical Muslim regime. But even before Biden took office, his staff reportedly held quiet talks with Iran on returning the U.S. to the nuclear deal.

Instead of Trump's maximum pressure campaign, Biden is offering maximum appeasement. And that is laying the groundwork for Middle East conflict.

Israel Defense Forces chief of staff Aviv Kochavi startled many just 10 days into Biden's administration when he announced that any attempt to revive the nuclear pact "will be a bad agreement" and "must not be enabled."

Kochavi added he has instructed the IDF to prepare plans to strike Iran if necessary, to stop it from building a nuclear bomb.

And a Netanyahu ally in the Israeli cabinet made it clear that Israel will act alone if Biden returns to the pact. He insisted that...

"If the United States government rejoins the nuclear deal... the practical result will be that Israel will again be alone against Iran, which will have received a green light from the world, including the United States, to continue with its nuclear weapons program."

"This , of course, we will not allow. We’ve already twice done what needed to be done, in 1981 against the Iraqi nuclear program and in 2007 against the Syrian nuclear program”—a reference to Israeli airstrikes that destroyed the two nations' nuclear reactors.

President Trump brokered historic peace agreements between Israel and several Arab Muslim nations in the historic Abraham Accords. But Biden is blundering ahead with a ruinous plan that could force Israel to act militarily against Iran before it passes the nuclear threshold. God forbid!
