Every day that goes by, the international headlines appear to be screaming with updates about Iran’s growing sabre rattling in the Middle East.

Just weeks ago, Iranian Quds forces in conjunction with Syrian forces placed roadside bombs in anticipation of Secretary of State Mike Pompeo’s Golan Heights visit. Pompeo was on a whirlwind seven-nation tour that many say was planned with the intention of tightening commitment to the Abraham Accords.

Thankfully, Israeli security forces were able to clear the devices before Pompeo’s arrival. But the bold move on behalf of the Quds was a bold slap in the face to both Americans and Israelis and, I feel, a sign of things to come should America take even the slightest pressure off Iran... or the smallest step away from defending Israel.

With every new headline, I am again reminded of the dream I had last week.

As I wrote earlier this week, in the dream I was standing on a street in the nation's capital and the president's limo passed close by. The window was down, and I spoke with him, saying I appreciated his work and was praying for him. I noticed that President Trump's face was downcast and sorrowful. I knew upon waking that the Lord was emphasizing that we must pray for our president.

In just the last few days, the Iranians have declared they will no longer allow nuclear inspections. We have seen this type of behavior out of Iran before, and it does not bode well for peace initiatives.

Ellie Geranmayeh from the European Council on Foreign Relations says the world should “buckle up for the weeks ahead.” It is anticipated that Iran will continue turning up the heat.

The pressures on President Trump are enormous right now. His longstanding, steadfast commitment to Israel is being tested as never before in the midst of the U.S. election chaos. And Israel-hating world leaders, like many in the Council on Foreign Relations, are doing everything possible to push America back into the dangerous “Iran Deal.”
