Dear Sir or Madam,

As a patriotic American and a strong friend of Israel, I am calling on Congress to quickly pass H.R. 8236, the Designating Hamas Affiliates in America Act of 2026. This long-overdue legislation calls on the Treasury Department to list the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as a “specially designated global terrorist.”

The case linking CAIR to HAMAS is ironclad and well-known. The evidence includes:

• An FBI wiretap of the 1993 meeting in Philadelphia of Hamas leaders where the idea for CAIR was born, with its subsequent founders in attendance.

• Seven CAIR officials arrested, convicted, or deported for terrorism-related crimes.

• A federal court ruling that there is “ample evidence to establish the associations of CAIR ... and Hamas.”

For the sake of America’s security, to silence this mouthpiece for Hamas, and to blunt the rise of antisemitism and the Islamization of America, I strongly urge you to act immediately to support this legislation and to bring it to an affirmative vote in the House and Senate.
