Dear Mayor de Blasio and Governor Cuomo,
The First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States guarantees the right to worship as our consciences dictate, the right to free speech, and the right to assemble. There are NO “ifs”, “ands” or “buts” included in the First Amendment. There is no constitutional or legal provision for you to threaten any church with forced closing. As an American citizen deeply committed to defending our constitutional rights, I demand you retract your illegal and unconstitutional orders and threats to synagogues in your city. I demand that the law of the land, the United States Constitution, be upheld throughout the United States of America... including New York.
