Founded in 1928 in Egypt and active in some 70 nations, the Muslim Brotherhood is the parent of al-Qaida, Hamas, and the Council on American-Islamic Relations. The Brotherhood's ultimate goal, as its Supreme Guide said in 2005, is "the spread of Islam until it rules the world."

Bahrain, Egypt, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates have all labeled the Muslim Brotherhood a terrorist group. And to his great credit, President Donald Trump issued an executive order last November calling for Muslim Brotherhood chapters in Egypt, Lebanon, and Jordan to "be considered for designation as Foreign Terrorist Organizations."

That's wonderful — and a great start. But it leaves the Muslim Brotherhood in America untouched.

This measure requires the president to designate the Muslim Brotherhood as a foreign terrorist organization. Doing so will deliver a crippling blow to the Muslim Brotherhood in America.

That's because the bill makes it a federal crime to give "material support," i.e., financial services, to a foreign terrorist organization.

Congress must act now to pass the Muslim Brotherhood Terrorist Designation Act.

And as you respond, please give to help us defend Israel, which is at the very center of the Muslim Brotherhood's crosshairs. As one Muslim Brotherhood Supreme Guide said, "we will get rid of it [Israel] no matter how long it takes.”
