Every year, American taxpayers send billions of dollars to the U.N., accounting for nearly a third of its total budget in some years. That’s not abstract money — it’s your money. And increasingly, it’s being used to support actions and policies that contradict American values.

The facts are alarming. The U.N. has repeatedly singled out Israel for condemnation, passing more resolutions against it than against all other nations combined. This is not balance. It’s systemic bias — and it calls into question the integrity of the entire institution.

Countries like Iran — known for brutal repression and threats against the United States and its allies — have been placed in roles influencing global issues like women’s rights and nuclear policy. Meanwhile, serious concerns about transparency and oversight remain. Reports involving U.N.-affiliated agencies and alleged ties to extremist activity highlight just how little control exists over where U.S. dollars are going. Taxpayers are being forced to fund an organization that too often operates without clear consequences or meaningful reform.

For years, leaders have promised to hold the U.N. accountable — and failed to deliver. But now, for the first time in a generation, there is real momentum in Congress to cut funding, impose strict conditions, and demand transparency before another dollar is sent to this bloated bureaucracy headquartered in Midtown Manhattan.

But momentum alone is not enough. Powerful interests are already working behind the scenes to protect the status quo. If Americans stay silent, these reforms could be weakened — or disappear entirely.
