Trump administration backs creation of “Palestinian State”
In a huge disappointment last month, the White House put Israel at risk by opening a door to Palestinian statehood.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu immediately denounced the idea of creating a terror state on the mountains overlooking Tel Aviv, saying:
“Our opposition to a Palestinian state on any territory west of the Jordan River exists, is firm, and has not changed in the slightest.”

PM Netanyahu made it clear that Israel will not let Hamas renege on its commitment to disarm and demilitarize under the Trump-engineered peace deal signed Oct. 9.
But Hamas refuses to hand over its weapons. Instead, it is consolidating power in the parts of Gaza it controls.
The just-passed U.N. Gaza peace resolution calls for an "International Stabilization Force" (ISF) to ensure Hamas demilitarizes. Turkey wants to be among the nations in the ISF policing Gaza and reportedly plans to send 2,000 soldiers into Gaza.
But giving Turkey — an enemy of Israel and close friend of Hamas — a role in dismantling Hamas is laughable. Under President Erdogan, Turkey seeks to build an Islamic caliphate across the Middle East and beyond.
Let me be clear, President Trump is a true friend of Israel. But in his zeal to achieve Middle East peace, Trump is opening the door to Palestinian statehood.
All while rejecting Israeli sovereignty in its ancient heartland, Judea and Samaria (what the world calls the “West Bank”). Trump famously slammed that door shut, declaring: “I will not allow Israel to annex the West Bank. ... It's not going to happen.”
What’s more, by going to the United Nations, Trump has given one of the most anti-Israel bodies in the world powerful leverage to push for Palestinian statehood and maximize global pressure on the Jewish state.
In blunt terms, President Trump has committed a costly mistake.
