Qatar has sent some 360 million dollars a year to aid Hamas-ruled Gaza — money that props up the sociopathic perpetrators of Oct. 7.

Yet, Trump adviser Steve Witkoff recently told reporters, “They [Qatar] want to be acknowledged as a peacemaker. ... I think the Qataris want stability.”

And Trump appears to agree.

“Qatar is absolutely trying to help,” Trump said in February about the Gulf state’s role in negotiating the release of hostages held by Hamas.

“I know them well, and they’re doing everything they can,” Trump added. “Very tough situation, but they’re absolutely trying to help.”

If Qatar truly wanted to be a peacemaker, it wouldn’t be funding Hamas’ butchery.

Qatar has sent nearly 2 billion dollars to Hamas in recent years to ensure Hamas survives. If Qatar threatened to cut all funding to Hamas unless the hostages were freed, the hostages still alive would walk free.

Instead, as I write, 58 hostages — including four Americans — are still held captive in Hamas’ underground tunnels and dungeons.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned me and others about the Qatari threat in February. Israeli Ambassador to the United States Yechiel Leiter also touched on the subject during my visit to the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., earlier this month.

Israel needs our immediate help to set the Trump administration straight on Qatar’s treachery. Will you join me in petitioning the president and Congress to sever ties with Qatar, to expose its terror funding, and to designate it as a state sponsor of terror?
