Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned me and others about the Qatar threat in February. Speaking to pro-Israel evangelical leaders in Washington, D.C., Netanyahu said Qatar is a key culprit delaying the return of the hostages to Israel.
In fact, Qatar is on the side of terror. Consider the following:
- Qatar owns Al Jazeera — an enemy of Israel and a megaphone for jihad.
- Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Egypt severed ties with Qatar in 2017. The Saudis charged Qatar with “embracing … the Muslim Brotherhood group Daesh (ISIS) and Al-Qaeda.”
- Now Qatar’s deputy prime minister and defense chief, Sa'oud Aal Thani tweeted in 2014 under the hashtag, “We are all Hamas.” In 2021, he declared: “Israel’s control of the U.S. is clear. We must plan how to influence the decision-makers in the U.S.”
The subject came up again during my meeting with Israeli Ambassador to the United States Yechiel Leiter at the Israeli Embassy in Washington, D.C., last Friday.
We need Congress to immediately hold hearings to expose Qatar’s terror agenda against both Israel and America!
