What Happens the Day After

Hamas and the people of Gaza who rejoiced at the slaughter of Jews, must pay a severe price. TERRORISTS don’t get to keep their land to fight another day. Nor do they have any say in post-war settlements.

But some in Washington believe that Hamas should have a say in what happens next. You and I must speak out!

With Biden gone and Trump in office, Israel is poised to crush genocidal Hamas. The signals are unmistakable:

  • AID CUTOFF. Israel halted all aid into Gaza on March 1, cutting off food and medicine to the Hamas-controlled strip. During the recent 42-day Hamas-Israel cease-fire, aid flooded into Gaza, giving Hamas up to six months of supplies.

  • TOTAL VICTORY. A new Israel Defense Forces chief of staff is reportedly drafting an intensive battle plan to resume the war, using overwhelming air and ground forces. After transferring civilians to humanitarian safe zones, the plan calls for an all-out Israeli assault on Hamas to achieve total victory. That begins with a withering aerial bombardment followed by a ground invasion of up to five divisions, possibly 50,000 troops attacking the entire coastal enclave at once. The goal is to annihilate Hamas in six months.

  • ENDING EMBARGO. Biden starved Israel of needed munitions in its existential war on Hamas. But Trump has already authorized almost 12 billion dollars in military aid since taking office.

  • GREEN LIGHT. President Trump reportedly told Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in February to “do whatever you need to do” to defeat Hamas, giving him 150 days to get the job done.

THE DAY AFTER ...

But what happens after Hamas is destroyed?

President Trump has offered an out-of-the-box plan. After Israel utterly crushes Hamas, his simple but revolutionary proposal is: Empty Gaza. Clear the rubble. And rebuild it into something spectacular.

The Arab world rejects Trump’s proposal, as do Britain, France, and Germany. The U.N. pouted that “Any forcible transfer ... of people ... is strictly prohibited.”

But history is on Trump’s side. To the victor go the spoils is standard practice in post-war settlements. British historian Andrew Roberts lists multiple examples, including the mass transfer of Sudeten Germans from Czechoslovakia after Allied forces crushed Nazi Germany. Roberts observes:

[A]gain and again in the past, peoples who unleash unprovoked aggressive wars against their neighbors and are then defeated—as the Gazans have been on any conceivable metric—lose either their government or their sovereignty, or both.

Together, let’s call on Speaker Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune to pass House and Senate resolutions endorsing Trump’s Gaza proposal.
