The historically false term, “the West Bank,” gives cover to grotesque, bald-faced lies like this one from aging Palestinian tyrant Mahmoud Abbas — a pathetic figure who traffics in laughable fictions on the world stage, like this:
“We are the descendants of the Canaanites who lived in the land of Palestine 5,000 years ago, and continuously remained there to this day. Our great people remains rooted in its land. The Palestinian people built their own cities and homeland, and made contributions to humanity and civilization.”
Abbas made that absurd claim — for which there is zero evidence — in a speech to the U.N. Security Council. In fact, archeological as well as DNA evidence increasingly proves Abbas’ claims are wildly incorrect.

But no one laughed in Abbas’ face or booed him into silence. It was, after all, the U.N., a forum that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu rightly calls the “theater of the absurd.”
This entire mess began in 1950 when the Kingdom of Jordan invented a term that contradicts every historical record, including the Bible. In Jordan’s 1950 invasion of Israel, Jordan seized Judea and Samaria, renaming the region “the West Bank” as a way to erase Israel.
Jordan lost possession and control of Judea and Samaria in 1967, after Arab nations tried (and failed) to seize all of Israel — but, irrationally, the “West Bank” named stuck.
It’s time . . . past time . . . for the U.S. to STOP using “West Bank” and to call God’s land, what it is, “Judea and Samaria.”
The Recognizing Judea and Samaria Act, aka HR 7552 and S 5431, seeks to END the Arab world’s lies and restore God’s will and historical accuracy to the region.
