Israel, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and Russia all agree that the radical Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization.
But every time the idea of designating the Muslim Brotherhood as a Terrorist Organization comes up, the official Washington bureaucrat class erupts in protest. Think tanks, past administration officials, and the media continue to claim such an action is a misguided and harmful decision. Why are we behind the Middle East nations that long ago designated the Muslim Brotherhood as a terrorist organization?
The facts are clear!
The Muslim Brotherhood is a terrorist organization that seeks to overthrow America, replacing the U.S. Constitution with the Koran.
That means ripping religious freedom out of America life and forcing our nation to bow before Allah.
And the Brotherhood is pledged to Israel’s destruction. Its militants fought to destroy Israel in 1948. It founded Hamas. And its Supreme Guide has declared, “we will get rid of it [Israel] no matter how long it takes.”
In our meeting last week, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu specifically asked for help in getting the Muslim Brotherhood formally designated as a Foreign Terrorist Organization.
Time is short, as the recent elections in Jordan prove. In September, the Muslim Brotherhood increased its power dramatically, managing to take over nearly a quarter of the Jordanian Parliament. The astounding wins mean the pro-Hamas Muslim Brotherhood is the largest opposition voting block in Jordan!
America must act now to curtail the Muslim Brotherhood’s growing influence over the Middle East and America ... before they can gain enough power to end America and Israel. The best possible way to do that is to formally designate the group as a Foreign Terror Organization.
