As I write you, Israel is on high alert. Tonight at sundown, Tisha B’av, the saddest day on the Hebrew calendar begins.
Tisha B’av, or the 9th day of the Hebrew month Av, is the date that both the first and the second temples of Jerusalem were destroyed. That’s right, the temples were destroyed on the exact same date in history 655 years apart.
Now Iran is threatening to destroy not just temples, but all of Israel on this 9th of Av, 5784 — August 12, 2024, on the modern Gregorian calendar.
The Jewish state is bracing for a fierce attack from Iran, from Hezbollah, and from its other pawns in the Iranian ring of fire across the Middle East.
STOP the Biden-Harris Arms Embargo!
Iran vows revenge because of Israeli strikes that have eliminated two top Hamas leaders and the No. 2 man in Hezbollah.
The threatened Iranian attack will likely exceed the 350 Iranian missiles and drones that rained down on Israel in April — to no effect. Israeli and U.S. air defenses swatted down the incoming salvos, and Israel escaped unscathed — for which we thank God. But what is coming will be worse.
In the face of all this, the Biden-Harris administration continues to refuse to send Israel the arms the U.S. Congress already allocated for the Jewish state to protect its people.
Worse yet, Kamala Harris told The Uncommitted National Movement, a pro-Palestinian group, that she is considering a full arms embargo against Israel.
The group is perhaps most famous for mobilizing more than 100,000 people to write “uncommitted” on their Michigan presidential primary ballots, rather than voting for Joe Biden, because Biden failed to fully cater to the pro-Hamas, pro-Palestinian agenda.
After meeting last week with Harris’ VP pick, Tim Walz, in Detroit, she appears eager to try to win back the Uncommitted group’s votes. According to a statement the group released, "The Vice President shared her sympathies and expressed an openness to a meeting with the Uncommitted leaders to discuss an arms embargo."
If Kamala kowtows to the pro-Hamas crowd and enacts a full arms embargo against Israel, it will leave the Jewish state nearly defenseless against the ayatollah and his terrorist proxies. We cannot allow this to happen, and that’s why we must call on Congress now.
Congress must intervene NOW before it is too late.
