Gov. Joshua Shapiro was reportedly the frontrunner for Kamala Harris’ VP pick. Shapiro is extremely charismatic, and wildly popular in a state that could have brought 19 electoral votes to Kamala’s campaign.

But things went sour shortly after the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA) effectively ordered Harris not to pick Shapiro.

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Jamaal Bowman, and Cori Bush are all members of the DSA.

Gov. Shapiro is a practicing Jew and a staunch supporter of Israel. Not only did he advocate for Israel while in his 20s, he also has used his office to advocate for the Jewish state, as the mainstream news has reported.

On October 8, 2023, the day after Hamas’ horrific massacre, Shapiro ordered all Pennsylvania state flags lowered to half-mast and offered a speech condemning Hamas.

Shapiro also condemned the violent university riots instigated by Hamas supporters who terrorized Jewish students trying to attend classes. The Keystone State governor also condemned the protesters who moved from university property to terrorize Jewish homes and businesses throughout the state.

And for that, the DSA radicals have condemned the man.

Two weekends ago, DSA’s Philadelphia chapter issued an order condemning Shapiro for being an “outspoken supporter of the Zionist project in Palestine.”

“We will continue to call on Harris and Democrats to push for an immediate ceasefire in Palestine and to adopt a progressive agenda to energize their base and beat back the looming threat of fascism,” DSA wrote. “Josh Shapiro is not the right man for this job.”

Two weeks later, Kamala announced her VP pick — a little-known radical from Minnesota. MN Gov. Tim Walz is a deeply unpopular governor who canceled Christmas and Easter during the shutdowns, while encouraging people to call the police on their neighbors for violating his stay-at-home order. And his state offers a mere 10 electoral votes.

How deep does the DSA’s radical influence go with Kamala Harris? Will she or will she not stand with Israel if elevated to the highest office in our land?
