Genesis, Jehoshaphat, and Raisi's Helicopter Crash

In Genesis 12:3, God promises to bless all those who bless Israel and curse all those who curse it.
Over the years of their bloody reign of power, Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian did a whole lot of cursing.
-
President Raisi: “Israel should be wiped off the map.”
-
Foreign Minister Amir-Abdollahian: “The coming days will be difficult days for the Zionist entity.”
Both leaders are now dead, thanks to a helicopter crash in the Iranian mountains bordering Azerbaijan.
Coincidence? I don’t think so. In fact, this may be a Jehoshaphat story.
As you may recall, during Jehoshaphat’s reign, three enemy kingdoms conspired to attack and destroy the Kingdom of Judah. The Lord saved His people by turning the enemies against one another, compelling them to destroy one another.
What does this have to do with Raisi?
Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei is 85 years old. Two people were in direct competition to take the Ayatollah’s place when he dies, President Raisi and the Ayatollah’s son, Mojtaba Khamenei. Many Middle East experts believe Raisi had an edge over Mojtaba, because the Iranian old guard detests hereditary leadership, having overthrown the Shahs of Iran for just such a reason.
But now that Raisi is gone, Mojtaba is the only name on the list to become Iran’s next Supreme Leader.
“The next Supreme Leader is most likely Ali Khamenei’s son, Mojtaba Khamenei,” says Gabriel Noronha, a former U.S. State Department adviser on Iran.
Whether or not Mojtaba is proven to have been behind Raisi’s accident, one thing is clear — two men who cursed Israel have been cursed themselves.
This is all the more reason why we must compel Congress to stand with Israel during this time of crisis. For not only does God curse those who curse Israel, He also blesses those who bless Israel.
Congress MUST overturn the curses Joe Biden has attempted to place on Israel. Joe Biden’s anti-Israel policies, his retention of Iranian spies in the Pentagon, and his arms embargo — refusing to send Israel the weapons the U.S. Congress had already appropriated for the Jewish state — are all curses upon Israel.
As you do, please prayerfully consider supporting our work. Our staff fights every day in the halls of Congress and around the world to defend the world’s only Jewish state, Israel. We cannot do this important work without your financial support. Please, give generously.
Thank you so much for your friendship. My prayer is that you know and experience God’s blessing as you bless and stand with Israel!
“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you” (Gen. 12:3).
