Abbas' Outrageous Lie At The UN

Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas uttered an outrageous lie while addressing the United Nations. He should have been laughed out of the building. Instead, the U.S. government is using language that substantiates Abbas’ attempt to rewrite well-documented history.

HR 7552, the “Recognizing Judea and Samaria Act” seeks to set the record straight. Read on. — Mat

Tell Congress to tell the TRUTH about Israel!
VOTE YES on HR 7552 — the “Recognizing Judea and Samaria Act.”

HR 7552 is an important “out-of-the-box” idea to refocus attention on the truth about Israel’s claim to its land — and to expose blatant Palestinian lies like this one from Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas ...

“We are the descendants of the Canaanites who lived in the land of Palestine 5,000 years ago, and continuously remained there to this day.”

You and I know that’s utter fantasy — the Palestinian people date to the 1960s. But Abbas — a corrupt, authoritarian leader who refuses to stand for reelection and is now in the 18th year of his original four-year term — made that claim at the U.N. Security Council.

He should have been laughed out of the building. Instead, he got a polite hearing from stone-faced Security Council members. (As Netanyahu has said, the U.N. is a “theatre of the absurd.”)

But making “Judea and Samaria” the official U.S. government designation for Israel’s biblical heartland — as Rep. Tenney’s legislation requires — will put the lie to historical atrocities like this from Abbas and others.

That’s because the phrase “Judea and Samaria” invokes the undeniable, millennia-long reality of Jewish life on their ancestral land. A reality attested by the Bible, history, and accumulating archeological evidence.

Even the U.N.’s 1947 Resolution 181, offering a plan to partition the Holy Land between Arabs and Israelis, referred not to the “West Bank” but to “the hill country of Samaria and Judea.”

You may be interested to know that the term “West Bank” only dates back to 1950. The nation of Jordan introduced that label after invading Israel in 1948 and gobbling up Judea and Samaria. Two years later, Jordan changed the name to ERASE ISRAEL and designate its war-gained holdings on the west bank of the Jordan River.

That’s the shabby history perpetuated by “West Bank”!

Jordan lost its ill-gotten gains in the 1967 Six-Day War, but the name stuck like a stubborn carpet stain. And the reason is simple: “West Bank” supports the Palestinian land claim and ignores the manifest truth about the Jewish people’s ancient and airtight claim to their God-given land inheritance.

You and I need to stand in the gap for Israel now! Please support passage of the “Recognizing Judea and Samaria Act” by signing and faxing the SAY THE NAME: “JUDEA AND SAMARIA”! demand letter right away.

As you do, please consider making a generous one-time gift or even a small recurring monthly gift to bless and defend Israel.

Thank you for your much-appreciated friendship. Together, let’s pray for God’s people and defend the TRUTH about the Holy Land.
