Israel is scrupulously careful to avoid civilian casualties. Hamas, however, uses Palestinian civilians as human shields — a war crime. Why isn’t Biden addressing that?

“The sole reason for civilian deaths in Gaza is Hamas,” contends John Spencer, chair of urban warfare studies at West Point’s Modern War Institute.

Israel, Spencer insists, has “taken more care to prevent them [civilian deaths] than any other army in human history.”

Hamas claims more than 29,000 Palestinians have died — roughly two-thirds of them women and children. But numbers like that are just “fanciful propaganda statistics,” asserts a researcher at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs.

Even Joe Biden dismissed — at first — the casualty counts supplied by the Gaza Health Ministry ... which is nothing more than a mouthpiece for Hamas.

“I have no notion that the Palestinians are telling the truth about how many people are killed,” Biden said in late October. But that sparked fury, forcing Biden to huddle with Muslim-American leaders the very next day to make amends.

“I’m sorry. I’m disappointed in myself,” he groveled, pledging to “do better.”

And now Joe relies on Hamas numbers to pressure Israel for a ceasefire. As I write, Joe is floating a draft U.N. Security Council resolution demanding a ceasefire in Gaza. It’s one more way for Biden to block Israel from total victory.

You and I must call on Congress to stand with Israel now, to support its necessary and just campaign to eliminate Hamas ... and to repudiate Joe Biden’s attempt to rob Israel of absolute victory to ensure an Oct. 7 attack never happens again.
