For Good And Not Evil

God intends good and not evil for Israel and the Jewish people.

In the face of implacable hatred against the Jewish state, God is at work. He has returned His people to the land He promised them. His plans for Israel are “for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope” (Jeremiah 29:11).

And despite the grim threats to Israel, I am encouraged. Benjamin Netanyahu has returned as prime minister, bringing Israel an experienced leader, a stronger voice on the international stage and a steely commitment to stopping Iran’s sprint to the Bomb. And he is standing strong against Hamas, the Palestinian Authority, and the “two-state solution” being pushed by Joe Biden. — Mat

Defend Israel with your tax-deductible year-end gift!

Beyond what you and I see on the political horizon — for good or ill — we have God’s pledge that He will defend His people:

I will surely gather them from all the lands where I banish them in my furious anger and great wrath; I will bring them back to this place and let them live in safety. ... I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all my heart and soul (Jeremiah 32:37, 41).

God is doing that in our day! But you and I have our part, too. God’s Word calls on us to pray for, defend, and bless Israel — with the promise that God will bless those who bless His people (Genesis 12:3).

We cannot be unconcerned bystanders. That is what Judah’s neighbor, Edom, did when the Jewish people came under assault. God took notice and issued this rebuke:

On the day you stood aloof while strangers carried off his [Judah’s] wealth and foreigners entered his gates and cast lots for Jerusalem, you were like one of them (Obadiah 11).

Edom’s detached indifference put Edom under the same judgment as Judah’s attackers. “You were like one of them,” God declared.

But YOU are standing with Israel. YOU are raising your voice on behalf of the Jewish people and the Jewish state!

Will you please help CIDI do that now — at this time of grave threat to Israel — by giving a generous year-end gift? Please make your best gift to help CIDI end the year strong ... and do even more in the year ahead to bless and defend God’s people! Make your gift before December 31, midnight, in YOUR time zone!

Thank you for your friendship and for standing with CIDI as we, together, stand with Israel!
