No Safe Space for Jewish College Students

The public higher education system in America has become a hotbed of unbridled hatred for Israel, making Jewish students and Jews across the globe fear for the future.

When I served as dean of a Christian law school, I was approached by a surrogate representing wealthy Middle East funders who offered to endow a Chair at the law school to teach “international law.” I immediately realized the ploy to establish a pro-Islamic faculty in a Christian school and without hesitation rejected the offer. However, I know of a major secular school that succumbed to the money bait. As expected, the endowed Chair began spewing hate for Israel and the Jewish people.

Antisemitism is rampant. But Christians in Defense of Israel is standing in the gap. Read on. — Mat

One place where anti-Israel defamation festers and grows is the American college campus. It’s appalling and puts Jewish students at risk. Here’s a sample of the hostile atmosphere Jews face in American higher education:

  • In the wake of Hamas butchery against Jews on Oct. 7, 30 Harvard student groups signed onto a letter dripping with hate for Israel. In it, the student groups said they “hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence. The apartheid regime is the only one to blame.

  • When Columbia University students blamed Israel for the brutal and savage Hamas attack on Oct. 7, a group of Columbia professors came to their defense.

  • And the City University of New York faculty union sent an email to its 23,000 members in which it blasted the “Zionist genocidal campaign.”

Defend Israel with your gift today.

Hostility toward Jews is so pronounced now that more than a third of Jewish college students hide their identity on campus, according to one poll conducted Nov. 14-15. More than half, 54%, said they felt scared.

That, my friend, ANGERS me. And I’m sure you feel the same. It’s an utter outrage that Jewish students do not feel free to come and go as they please, to openly own their Jewish identity on campus.

Your gift now will help us Israel and the Jewish people — please be as generous as you can.

By the way, Joe Biden and Kamala Harris are no help in defeating antisemitism.

Biden lists the Hamas-linked Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) as an outside adviser to the White House strategy on countering anti-Jewish hate. Yet CAIR is one of the nation’s most antisemitic organizations. It blamed Israel for Oct. 7 and refused to condemn Hamas for its savage massacre.

And when a student at George Washington University accused Israel of “ethnic genocide,” Harris failed to denounce that ugly smear. Instead, she condoned the base lie, uttering this idiocy, “Your voice, your perspective, your experience, your truth, should not be suppressed.”

You and I must make our voice heard for Israel — Christians in Defense of Israel is YOUR voice on Capitol Hill! But we are still short of our 2023 fundraising goals. We need YOUR help to continue defending Israel.

Please be as generous as you can before December 31!

Thank you so much for your friendship. My prayer is that you know and experience God’s blessing as you bless and stand with Israel!

P.S. Israel is at war and under assault on the streets and campuses of America. Your generous year-end gift now will help us fight back, answering lies with truth. With your help, we will bless and defend Israel as we mobilize Americans to stand for Israel. Please give generously!
