Mat Staver Selected As One of Israel’s Top 50 Christian Allies

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Israel Allies Foundation (IAF), a nonprofit organization that works to educate and empower pro-Israel, faith-based legislators worldwide, has selected Mat Staver, Chairman of Christians in Defense of Israel, and Chairman and Founder of Covenant Journey, as one of Israel’s Top 50 Christian Allies 2023.

Each year, IAF selects Christian leaders who convey their love and support for the State of Israel through action. The exclusive list includes pastors, former politicians, organizational and business leaders who are leading defenders and advocates for Israel worldwide for 2023.

The mission of Christians in Defense of Israel (CIDI) is to inspire goodwill ambassadors for Israel and the Jewish people through education, advocacy, and a life-changing Holy Land tour. CIDI provides education and advocacy in multiple ways, including the Defender newsletter; brochures, books and booklets, radio and television, social media, and ongoing informative emails.

Covenant Journey is a unique ministry that provides college students with unforgettable, life-changing tours to Israel with a biblical and spiritual emphasis in order for participants to discover the miracle of ancient and modern Israel. Covenant Journey Travel also provides life-changing tours to Israel for people of all ages.

Staver also serves as Senior Pastor, Founder and Chairman of Liberty Counsel; Chairman of Liberty Counsel Action, Faith and Liberty, Freedom Federation, and Salt & Light Council. In addition, Staver serves as Founder and Chancellor of  Covenant Journey Academy, a full-service K-12 online Christian academy. He has over 350 published legal opinions. He authored eight scholarly law review publications, many booklets and brochures, hundreds of articles, and numerous books, including Why Israel Matters and a 13-part original TV series aired on TBN also called Why Israel Matters.
