Tuesday, as Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi took to the podium to address the United Nations General Assembly in New York, scores of Iranian women protested outside. The women held photos of Mahsa Amini, a young woman brutally beaten to death by Iranian authorities last year for the crime of allowing a wisp of her hair to escape her state-mandated hijab.

Inside the assembly room, Israeli Ambassador Gilad Erdan joined the protesters in spirit, silently holding up a picture of Mahsa emblazoned with the words “Iranian Women Deserve Freedom Now,” before storming out of the room. Though the Israeli ambassador left peacefully, United Nations security personnel detained him with what he says was “unacceptable brutality.”

Former President Trump had previously sanctioned Raisi for his role in massacring more than 6,500 Iranians in 2019. The Trump sanctions prevented the tyrant from entering our country and using the U.N. New York headquarters as his personal, anti-Israel bully pulpit.

But the Biden administration is neck deep in appeasement of the Iranians. Joe Biden’s State Department granted Raisi a special visa, allowing him the privilege of entering our country and addressing the global body.

"It is a disgrace that member states stay to listen to a mass murderer," Ambassador Erdan told reporters. "It should not be possible for a murderer with blood on his hands to receive a platform here at the U.N. I left the speech to make it clear that the State of Israel stands by the Iranian people. I call on the international community to stop the madness and prevent murderers and anti-Semites from coming and speaking here at the U.N."

The ambassador went on to take a shot at the Biden administration’s continuing foreign policy blunders that elevate Iran while denigrating and endangering Israel.

"We get exaggerated criticism from them [the Biden administration]; sometimes I wake up in the morning and wait to receive the educational lessons from the State Department,” Erdan sarcastically noted.
