Passover Trouble on Temple Mount

Judaism, Islam, and Christianity are colliding in Jerusalem this week. Last night, sundown marked the beginning of the Jewish celebration of Passover, Islam’s observation of Ramadan has begun, and Easter week is also well underway. Sadly, violence has broken out in Israel. Read on. — Mat

Demand Congress STOP allowing Joe Biden to pay Palestinian terrorists.

The Temple Mount is a holy place filled with Jewish history. It is the site, as Moses said, “that the LORD your God will choose out of all your tribes to put his name and make his habitation there” (Deut. 12:5).

It’s the site of Mount Moriah, the place where God intervened to stop Abraham from offering Isaac, providing a ram instead. It’s where Solomon dedicated the first Temple, the place at which God’s glory came down and overpowered the priests trying to perform their ceremonial duties.

Last night, sundown began the holiday of Pesach (Passover) — the Hebrew word meaning “to pass over,” a reference to the plague that killed all the Egyptian firstborn children but passed over the homes of the Israelites, sparing the lives of the Jewish firstborn children.

The Temple Mount is the holiest site in all of Judaism. It is also the third holiest site for Islam, with the monthlong Muslim high holiday of Ramadan continuing this week.

On Tuesday night, violence broke out at the Temple Mount. According to an Israeli police statement issued Wednesday, “law-breaking and masked juveniles smuggled fireworks, clubs and stones into the mosque and violently barricaded themselves inside of it using iron rods, closets and other objects from the mosque, which they vandalized, aiming to disrupt the order while desecrating the mosque.”

Muslim rioters barricaded themselves into the mosque, hurling stones and fireworks at first responders. Two police officers were injured.

More than 350 rioters were arrested, according to the police. The violence came during Ramadan and appeared to be timed to disrupt Jewish Passover plans, which began at sundown Wednesday.

“Following the removal of the violent rioters, Israel Police forces left the Temple Mount, and the mosque was cleaned after the rioters vandalized, defiled, and desecrated it,” according to Israeli police.

STOP Funding Israel's Destruction!

Now, perhaps more than ever, it is clear that Palestinians do NOT want peace, and they are even willing to desecrate their own holy places just to keep Jews away.

But Joe Biden keeps shoveling YOUR MONEY to the terror-enabling Palestinian Authority (PA), which uses those funds to reward Palestinians for killing Jews.

With Passover and Easter upon us, please join me in praying for Israel, that God will work yet more miracles of divine reversal to protect and restore the Holy Land.

I encourage you to take this time to anoint the doorjambs of your house and pray over it and for every member of your family. Pray diligently for Israel, for the Jews, and for God’s people everywhere. Pray that the world will open their hearts and return to the One who made us all.

If my people who are called by My name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and I will heal their land (1 Chronicles 7:14).

If ever there was a time to pray fervently for our Lord’s healing grace upon His people and the world, it is now.

Thank you for your undying support of the Holy Land and the Jewish people!
