He Turned His Back
Please take a moment NOW to fax Congress our powerful petition demanding they STOP JOE BIDEN’S ANTI-ISRAEL ACTIONS! Then read on for the news. —Mat
One day after news broke that Iran is now enriching uranium to near weapons-grade purity — putting nuclear weapons within reach of the world’s foremost terror state — the U.N. Security Council met to condemn the rogue regime.
But, no, it did not condemn Iran ... rather, it hauled tiny Israel, the Middle East’s lone democracy, before the 15-member body for a public tongue lashing.
Israel’s crime? It authorized housing for Jewish Israelis on its ancestral God-given land, Judea and Samaria — Israel’s biblical heartland and territory given to the Jewish people after World War I.
And the United States joined in blasting Israel for its alleged sins.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu strongly opposed the U.N. action, saying it “denies the rights of Jews to live in our historic homeland, fails to mention the Palestinian terror attacks in Jerusalem in which 10 Israeli civilians were murdered, ignores the Palestinian Authority’s grotesque pay-for-slay policy, which subsidizes the murder of Jews, and belittles the evil of antisemitism, which has resulted in the slaughter of millions.”
And he pointedly added, “The statement should never have been made and the United States should never have joined it.”
What made all this even more outrageous and poignant is that Israel’s ambassador to the U.N. spoke to the U.N. Security Council before it condemned the Jewish state. Holding a picture of two little boys — Jewish Israelis killed by a Palestinian who ran them over on the streets of Jerusalem — he said:
“These two beautiful children were murdered just for being Jews. Today’s meeting should have been convened to condemn the price paid by innocent Israelis for the Palestinian Authority’s incitement and hate.”
And then he stood, along with the Israeli delegation behind him, for a moment of silence in the memory of these children, and “the memory of all the other victims of Palestinian terror.”
No one at the Security Council stood with the Israelis — not even the U.S.
But that’s just one instance showing how Joe Biden and his pro-Palestinian administration is abandoning Israel. It also has:
- Sent some 1 billion dollars to the Palestinians while staying utterly silent on the Palestinian cash-for-killing terrorist compensation program — a windfall to the Palestinians that has led to an upsurge in violence against Israelis.
- Lifted some sanctions on Iran, pursuing a strategy of “maximum deference” that has brought the rogue state to the brink of having nuclear weapons.
- Interfered noisily in Israeli internal affairs, to the point that one Israeli cabinet member told the U.S. ambassador to Israel, "mind your own business" and P.M. Netanyahu declared, "respect our democracy.”
It is crucial that the GOP-led House grab the reins of U.S. foreign policy from Joe Biden. It must defund the mayhem he is promoting against our closest friend and ally, Israel.
And it must stand with Israel's right to its ancient homeland. Please fax the "No Funding for Terror" letter to House GOP leaders and make your best gift now to help us stand for Israel across the United States.
But with your kind and gracious support, CIDI fights for Israel, both in Washington, D.C., and via our nationwide online campaigns. Add to that Covenant Journey, which offers college-age students a life-changing, immersive experience in Israel. Please be as generous as you can to help us do even more!
Finally, please pray for peace in the Holy Land! May God bless you for standing with Israel!
