Deal Fails, But Biden Is Back for More
Iran is “on the eve of getting a nuclear weapon and don’t want to be talked out of it," says Rep. Darrell Issa. He should know. As a ranking member of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Issa was recently briefed by Biden officials on the state of the Iran Deal.
Negotiations for the deal ended in September of last year. At the time, the Biden administration and other deal supporters led the world to believe that the deal would be finalized imminently and that the world would be safe from Iranian nuclear weapons.
But the deal didn’t get signed. Instead, it would appear that Joe Biden and his team got “played” by the Iranians.
Issa sarcastically noted that Biden “negotiated for a year and a half through our good friend and honest broker Russia” (the country now under fire themselves for human rights abuses in Ukraine). “[W]e got the same thing that we should have expected, which is, they want a better deal than they had before, and if you don’t give them a better deal, then they don’t want a deal," Issa continued.
Instead, it would appear that Iran has simply been dragging out negotiations to buy enough time to create their own nuclear weapons.
“I believe [Iran] never negotiated in good faith, which means there’s really no reason to go back to them until there’s a huge change that shows why negotiations would be different,” Issa said.
But the Biden administration, against all reason, continues to chase the ayatollah’s skirts searching for something in this nuclear mess that they can call a “deal.”
As machine guns mowed down freedom-seeking Iranian women in the streets of Tehran, Biden State Department spokesperson and “deal” negotiator Ned Price said negotiations "are not in a healthy place right now," but that the administration is pushing forward “diplomatically.”
There is no way to “diplomatically” deal with a country actively engaged in murdering its own citizens, while also developing a nuclear weapon to murder Israeli citizens.
Despite the malevolent threats arrayed against Israel, the God of Israel WILL defend His people. The Lord has given in Scripture breathtaking pledges of His faithful love for His people. Here is one:
I will bring them back to this place, and I will make them dwell in safety. ... I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will plant them in this land in faithfulness, with all my heart and all my soul. (Jeremiah 32:37b, 41)
God is doing precisely this in our time! You and I are witnesses to the truth of God’s Word.
Now is the time to bless Israel, to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and to defend God’s people.
Your much-needed support now will help us FIGHT the increasingly anti-Israel Biden administration and his antisemitic supporters in Congress.
Thank you for the good you do as you stand with, defend and BLESS Israel!

P.S. As 2023 begins, I ask for your generous and much-needed gift to defend Israel in the year ahead. Your gift now will help us fight the Biden administration’s attacks on Israel — including its outrageous decision to INVESTIGATE Israel using the FBI. Please, give generously today!
