Israel DESERVES and NEEDS America’s support. It is a lighthouse for freedom in a region infested with despots and terrorists. It is a high-tech powerhouse, blessing the world with a flood of innovations in computers, communications, medicine and more.

But more than that, the Jewish state is a modern miracle. Its very existence is a stunning testimony to God’s promise that He will return His people to the land He gave them centuries ago ...

I will surely gather them from all the lands where I banish them in my furious anger and great wrath; I will bring them back to this place and let them live in safety. ... I will rejoice in doing them good and will assuredly plant them in this land with all My heart and soul (Jeremiah 32:37,41).

Israel’s miraculous rebirth in 1948 is even more astonishing because the world stood aloof—including the U.S., which refused military aid—as five Arab nations invaded to drive the fledgling Jewish state into the sea.

But Israel prevailed—a miracle repeated in 1967 and 1973 when Israel stunned the world by triumphing against Arab armies targeting the Jewish state for elimination. Against all odds, Israel overcame ... and expanded its territory.
