Hunting Israelis?

A new United Nations report advocates that Israelis be “hunted down."

The rampant antisemitism on parade at the U.N. knows no bounds. Anti-Israel forces in the world’s most powerful governmental body have the Jewish state and the Jewish people in their crosshairs. It is high time you and I stop paying for it.

Please join me in demanding Congress denounce, resign from and defund the United Nations. Then read on for the concerning news. —Mat

Forty years ago, former U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations Jeane Kirkpatrick warned that the United Nations was “the principal forum of a concerted worldwide campaign against the Jewish State,” noting the international body was “pathologically obsessed” with Israel.

Since that time. . .

  • The U.N. General Assembly approved in 1975 an infamous resolution, since revoked, declaring that “Zionism is a form of racism.”
  • From 1980 to 1988, the U.N. held annual votes to oust the one Jewish state from the United Nations.
  • UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization) declared the Tomb of the Patriarchs—the resting place of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, Sarah and Rebekah—to be a Palestinian World Heritage site!
  • Every session of the U.N. Human Rights Council includes a permanent agenda item targeting Israel alone.

Fast-forward to today, and not much has changed. In fact, it has only grown worse.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu calls the U.N. a “theater of the absurd” and a “place of darkness for my country.”

And no wonder, since just last year, the 193-nation U.N. General Assembly passed 14 resolutions criticizing Israel—but only five targeting any other nation. The United Nations, it would seem, cares little about the aggression and violence caused by Iran, Syria or the Palestinians. Instead, its vitriol is saved for the victim—the Jewish nation of Israel.

The United Nations is the world’s most prominent and powerful engine of antisemitism—and has been for decades. And yet the U.S., through both Republican and Democrat administrations, has handed this bloated Israel-hating bureaucracy billions in taxpayer dollars without demanding accountability or a reversal of its obsessive anti-Israel conduct.

It is time for that to change—for the U.S. to STOP funding the world’s foremost outpost of antisemitism. And revoking the U.N.’s free ride on the backs of U.S. taxpayers is even more urgent now after the egregious and absurd report on Israel issued in October by the U.N. Commission of Inquiry.

The Commission of Inquiry delivered a predictably one-sided report that showers the Jewish state with accusations and blame—but says nothing about Palestinian incitement, “martyr payments” to terrorists, Hamas terror tunnels, incendiary balloons, and Hamas rocket and missile attacks on Israeli civilian centers. The words “Hamas,” “rockets” and “terrorism” did not even appear in the 28-page report!

But the biased Commission—with its three members on record as sharp critics of Israel—roundly accuses the Jewish state of “war crimes” and crimes against humanity. The Commission report advocated “that Israelis be hunted down, prosecuted and jailed for crimes against humanity by the International Criminal Court,” reported Anne Bayefsky, senior editor of Human Rights Voices.

But the Commission did not identify a single Palestinian crime worth prosecuting.

Are you as disgusted as I am to be paying for such antisemitic tripe? Sign and fax the Denounce, Resign, Defund! demand letter calling on the new Congress to act against the United Nations.

And as you do, please make your most generous gift to help CIDI fight for Israel at this crucial moment for the Jewish state and the U.S.-Israel relationship. Your generosity enables Christians in Defense of Israel to make a pro-Israel difference in the halls of power in Washington, D.C., the Middle East and throughout the world. Please stand with us to bless Israel by giving generously.
