Joe Biden is determined to divide Jerusalem, and in so doing, effectively destroy the Holy City and Israel itself. Biden has named none other than rabid Israel hater Hady Amr to oversee the Office of Palestinian Affairs, which is housed in the U.S. Embassy in Jerusalem, and which has, until recently, reported to the U.S. ambassador to Israel.

These changes will make Amr the de facto U.S. ambassador to the Palestinians. And make the Office of Palestinian Affairs the de facto U.S. Embassy to the Palestinians.

Amr once famously proclaimed, “Washington is the second front in the battle for peace and justice in Palestine.” Amr understands how badly Israel needs American support and that is why he is the wrong man to oversee U.S./Palestinian relations. And why friends of Israel need to speak out about this brazen scheme NOW.

Further, Joe Biden is committed to reopening the Jerusalem consulate to the Palestinians that President Donald Trump wisely closed. State Department spokesman Ned Price said in June that doing so “remains our objective.”

U.S. Ambassador to Israel Tom Nides made that intention clear, too, in a revealing online seminar. Speaking freely, Nides announced in March that Biden is “fully and completely supportive of a two-state solution with a divided … capital.”

Nides added that his job is to “knock down things that make that possibility impossible.” Apparently, one of those “things” is loyalty to our Israeli allies.

It is critical that you and I fight this dangerous initiative to divide Jerusalem and undo the Trump initiative to recognize the Holy City for what it is—the eternal and undivided capital of the Jewish state, Israel.
