Iranian missiles, launched by Yemeni proxies, tore through the Abu Dhabi oil fields setting fire to an oil depot as well as the Abu Dhabi International Airport Monday, killing at least three. At least six others were wounded as targeted oil tankers exploded.
Dubai Airport, the busiest international airport in the world, was also targeted as was the base at Al Dhafra, which houses U.S. Air Force units, about 20 miles south of Abu Dhabi. But praise God, missile defense systems appear to have foiled those elements of the larger attack.
“Several attacks — a combination of cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and drones — targeted civilian sites” in the UAE, said Emirates Ambassador Al-Otaiba. “Several were intercepted, a few of them weren’t and three innocent civilians unfortunately lost their lives.”
Houthi rebels from Yemen, who are widely acknowledged by international experts, including the United Nations, as being an Iranian funded and directed proxy, took credit for the attacks.
While the Houthi rebels did not elaborate on the attack, Iran’s official news agency, Tasnim, gave a detailed account, as well as a list of “justifications” for the attacks.
The growing number of attacks on Israeli trade partners and allies in the region is startling. What is alarming in this case is the proxy’s use of long-range missiles which are capable of raining mass destruction on Israel.
But Joe Biden STILL refuses to enforce the Iran sanctions which had previously starved Iran of the power and money to lead and arm these proxy attacks.
