If you want to know what fuels the Palestinian war on Israel, just crack open any Palestinian textbook. You’ll find it awash in anti-Israel bigotry, absurd slanders and poisonous lies about the Jewish people. Lies that instill seething hate and drive the Palestinian jihad against Israel.

For instance, the Palestinian Authority distributes in its schools a magazine, Waed, that demonizes the Jewish state, labeling it “the giant Israeli murder machine” and “the Israeli monster.” But Palestinian terrorists are praised and honored as “heroic fighters of Palestine,” “martyrs” and “heroes.”

The magazine shows no interest in a “two-state solution.” Instead, it predicts Israel’s demise, telling students, “There is no invader who ... did not leave [Palestine] defeated in the end, and that is what will happen to the Zionist invaders.” Waed features a map with Israel erased, completely replaced by “Palestine.”

Even worse, a review of textbooks for grades 1-11 found, as a textbook watchdog reported, that they “groom young Palestinians to sacrifice themselves as martyrs.” That’s no exaggeration ...

• One textbook for third graders includes a poem calling for the liberation of Palestine: “I vow I shall sacrifice my blood, to saturate the land of the generous and will eliminate the usurper from my country, and will annihilate the remnants of the foreigners.”

• A fifth-grade textbook tells young readers that “Giving one’s life, sacrifice, fight, jihad, and struggle are the most important meanings of life, especially for a people suffering from the scourge of occupation, of siege, repression, harassment, demolition, and arrest.”

But sunlight is the best disinfectant and a new measure in Congress will expose the rank Jew-hatred festering in Palestinian schools and textbooks.

HR 2374, the Peace and Tolerance in Palestinian Education Act, requires the State Department to publish an annual report on the bias, prejudice, bigotry, hate and outright lies that Palestinian schools teach students.

That’s why our exclusive petition demands Congress take definitive action in passing this incredibly important bill. The only way peace can be achieved is by exposing and eliminating radical Islam’s genocidal doctrine now.
