The criminals who rule the world’s foremost terror state, Iran, are a “messianic apocalyptic cult,” in the words of former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

“Our revolution’s main mission,” declared Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Iran’s former president, “is to pave the way for the reappearance of the Twelfth Imam, the Mahdi.” But for that to happen, according to an Islamic prophecy allegedly spoken by Muhammad, black flags must fly over Jerusalem and Israel must be annihilated—the sinister motive underlying Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

This apocalyptic vision is why one primary purpose of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps’ Quds (Jerusalem) Force is to “liberate Jerusalem and Palestine”—code words for Israel’s destruction.

Joe Biden’s plan to divide Jerusalem, by creating a consulate for the Palestinians right in the heart of the Holy City, will weaken Israel and fuel Iran’s destructive plans.

And you may have heard about another Islamic “prophecy.” Iranian dictator Ayatollah Ali Khamenei predicted in 2015 that Israel will no longer exist by 2040—now just 19 years away. A doomsday clock in Tehran’s Palestine Square counts down the days until Israel’s demise ... or so the demented fanatics ruling Iran think.

But here’s the truth: However fierce that black-bannered Muslim army may be ... it WILL NOT conquer Zion.

The Bible tells us a day is coming when God Himself will “gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle” (Zech. 14:2). On that day, “the Lord will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle” (v. 3). He will decisively prevail and “be king over all the earth” (v. 9).

And the Messiah who will reign from Jerusalem will not be the “Mahdi”—the Islamic impostor—but Jesus Christ, who is King of kings and Lord of lords!

That’s what’s ahead for Israel ... and the world.

But right now, radical Islam poses a grim and mounting threat to Israel, which is why the Jewish state needs friends of Zion like you and me.
