Joe Biden’s recent abandonment of Afghanistan has fueled belief that an ancient Islamic prophecy is coming true. Worse, Biden’s plan to divide the Holy City of Jerusalem, which would weaken Israel, is intensifying radical Islam’s fervor to destroy the Jewish homeland.

Islamic scholars have dusted off an ancient prophecy that predicts the arrival of their false messiah, the “Mahdi.”

The prophecy, supposedly uttered by Mohammed, reads:

If you see the black banners coming from Khorasan [parts of Afghanistan, Pakistan, and Iran], join that army, even if you have to crawl over ice; no power will be able to stop them. And they will finally reach Baitul Maqdis [JERUSALEM], where they will erect their flags.

You may be shocked at how widespread “Mahdi expectation” is across the Muslim world. A 2012 Pew survey conducted in 23 nations across the Middle East, North Africa, South Asia and Southeast Asia discovered that “half or more Muslims believe they will live to see the return of the Mahdi.”

This ominous threat to God’s people makes me all the more grateful for you, and for your love for the Jewish people. It makes me appreciate all the more the difference our partnership makes for the nation of Israel.
