Joe Biden’s utter failure in Afghanistan has ignited Muslim dreams for ruling Jerusalem—and to hasten Israel’s destruction. Consider what one widely followed Islamic scholar proclaimed after America’s catastrophic pullout.

“What is happening in Afghanistan is validating the prophecy of prophet Muhammad,” he insisted. “It’s a signal,” pronounced Sheik Imran Hosein, “of Islam’s ultimate triumph ... and Israel’s defeat.”

In a YouTube video with nearly half a million views, Hosein further stated,

“Our sons in Afghanistan” have given the world “spectacular” evidence that Islam “is not a spent force ... but it has the capacity to resist the most powerful civilization in the world. And that’s bad news for Israel.”

“Bad news” because the Mahdi, Allah’s presumed representative on earth and Islam’s messianic figure, is expected to lead a global jihad from Jerusalem. And the one thing that can hasten the Mahdi’s appearance is for Islam to subjugate Jerusalem.

In Islam’s view, the liberation of Jerusalem is the preface for liberating the world and establishing the Mahdi’s state of justice and values on earth, according to Hezbollah followers.

Put bluntly, trampling Jerusalem—which would require crushing Israel—is the path to global Islamic rule, according to the widely followed Islamic end-times scenario.

And Joe Biden’s plan to divide Jerusalem by establishing a consulate for the Palestinians in the heart of the Holy City is fueling Islamic sentiment that their time of bloody takeover is about to arrive.
