Former President Donald Trump closed the so-called U.S. consulate to the Palestinians in Jerusalem for many good reasons.

First, under past administrations, the consulate exclusively served Palestinian interests and was a "hotbed for some anti-Israel ideologues," says former U.S. Ambassador to Israel David Friedman. The fact is, it served to stoke the Palestinian conflict with Israel.

Second, opening the consulate is ILLEGAL—under both U.S. and Israeli law. The Jerusalem Embassy Act of 1995—which Joe Biden voted for as a U.S. senator—states that “Jerusalem should remain an undivided city.”

Israel’s Basic Law—the Jewish state’s closest thing to a constitution—declares that “Jerusalem, complete and united, is the capital of Israel.”

And because Israel must give permission for the consulate to be opened, Biden is forcing the Jewish state’s leadership to give their approval to dividing Jerusalem.

That’s repugnant for any Jew ... and political suicide for any Israeli government. Yet Biden, who hands out some $3 billion annually in U.S. aid to Israel, is putting on the pressure.

Together, let’s defend God’s people and their God-given claim to the Holy City with two simple actions ...

Encourage Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett to STAND STRONG against Biden’s buyoff attempts. Tell Israel you support its just, historic and God-given right to Jerusalem as its capital city by signing our “Jerusalem Belongs to Israel!” Declaration, which we will send along with many others to Prime Minister Bennett. This will be a wonderful gesture of support and affirmation to Israel’s government from America’s community of believers.

“Sha’alu shalom Yerushalayim (pray for the peace of Jerusalem); they shall prosper that love thee” (Ps. 122:6).
