Ben & Jerry's, a global brand and subsidiary of Unilever, one of the largest conglomerates in the world, has decided to boycott Israel. Specifically, it is going to stop selling ice cream in Judea and Samaria—the so-called "West Bank."

The ice cream maker's actions have huge importance and could well open the door for more woke corporations to punish Israel for the crime of its mere existence.

That is to say, more multinational corporations will choose to follow Ben & Jerry's explicit act of rank antisemitism.

And because B&J’s has a unique clause in its acquisition agreement with Unilever, the ice cream retailer is free to act autonomously in pursuit of its radical “social mission,” which now includes boycotting Israel.

The Ben & Jerry’s boycott poses a real danger to Israel, but we have a weapon in our arsenal that can defeat these anti-Israel actions!

There are 35 states that have anti-BDS laws already on their books. We are calling on each of those governors to follow Florida’s lead and enforce these existing anti-BDS laws to end Ben & Jerry’s anti-Israel campaign.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has sent a letter to the State Board of Administration of Florida. DeSantis urged the agency to place Ben & Jerry's and Unilever on its “Continued Examination Companies that Boycott Israel” list. The governor has requested a report as soon as possible.

Gov. DeSantis wrote, “As a matter of law and principle, the State of Florida does not tolerate discrimination against the State of Israel or the Israeli people, including boycotts and divestments targeting Israel.”

If the companies do not end the boycott, DeSantis has directed the agency to “refrain from acquiring any and all Unilever assets consistent with the law.”

It is shocking to think that just one year ago, we had the most pro-Israel administration in history. Yet, in one short year, the new administration has turned against our greatest Middle East ally—an action fueling the new crush of hateful antisemitism poisoning America and the world.
