U.S. Sends Israel a Surprise Gift

The movement to boycott Israel—known as BDS, for boycott, divest and sanction—is an anti-Semitic global campaign with terrorists in its ranks. I give details below.

At its heart, BDS is working to erase Israel from the map. Which is why the Trump administration’s surprise announcement about the Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria this week is such good news—as I also explain below.

But despite the BDS threat to Israel, House Democratic leaders won’t act to fight it! They say they support Israel, but they refuse to pass the Combating BDS Act. The Act won overwhelmingly in the Senate, but Speaker Nancy Pelosi has bottled up this crucial pro-Israel measure for nearly nine months!

That’s why I’m asking you to join me in telling Speaker Pelosi to bring this vital bill to the floor. Act now to urge Nancy Pelosi to bring the Combating BDS Act to a House vote! –Mat

The Trump administration handed Israel an unexpected gift this week. It reversed decades of past U.S. policy and announced that Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria (the so-called West Bank) do not violate international law.

That provoked the usual suspects—the UN, the European Union, Russia, Turkey, Democrats running for president, and, of course, the Palestinians—to howl in bitter protest.

But it’s a common-sense and just decision.

  • First, Judea and Samaria—referred to by some as the “West Bank” as though it was a separate location from Israel—is the historic heartland of the Jewish people.
  • Second, it’s land the triumphant nations granted to the Jewish people after World War I—a grant never revoked.
  • And third, and most importantly, it’s land God gave to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob—and their descendants—in a grant God will never revoke.

+ + EU boosts the boycott Israel movement

The good news from America came on the heels of a disastrous ruling from the European Union's top court last week.

In a blast at Israel—one that filled the sails of the BDS movement—the EU ruled that products from Jewish settlements must be labeled with the word "settlement."

The reason is both simple and sinister. It’s a way to help European consumers boycott “illegal” Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria. And boost the global BDS movement.

+ + "Go back to the ovens!"

Popular on U.S. college campuses, the movement to boycott, divest and sanction (BDS) Israel is a Jew-hating initiative linked to terrorism. Let me give you some proof . . .

BDS advocates tout the campaign’s commitment to “justice” for Palestinians, but its ugly anti-Semitism spills out in their words and deeds.

Israel’s Ministry of Strategic Affairs has documented some 80 examples from prominent BDS activists or organizations. The list includes . . .

  • calls for Jews to “go back to the ovens!”
  • accusations that Israel poisons water supplies
  • charges of a global “Jewish lobby”
  • equating Nazi Germany and Israel
  • calls for the destruction of the Jewish State
  • depictions of Jews as pigs, octopuses, and having big noses

+ + More than 100 links between BDS and terrorists

And far from being "nonviolent," BDS is tied to terrorism. The Israeli Ministry of Strategic Affairs identified more than 100 links between BDS groups and terrorists—especially Hamas and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP). Let me give you a few examples . . .

  • Leila Khaled. A terrorist who hijacked TWA Flight 840 in 1969, Khaled has also raised funds for BDS. Khaled declared last year that, “Palestine will be liberated through resistance in all forms, first and foremost by the armed struggle.”
  • Joe Catron. The U.S. coordinator for the group Samidoun, a leading promoter of BDS, Catron is a fan of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. Catron tweeted: “Nasrallah my friend, attack, attack Tel Aviv.”
  • Ismail Radwan. A Hamas leader, Radwan is linked to the BDS National Committee, the umbrella group for the global BDS campaign. A vicious bigot, Radwan calls Jews “apes and pigs.”

+ + House Democrats stall on anti-BDS bill

But House Democrats are stalling a vote on the Combating BDS Act. They refuse to come to the aid of America’s ally and friend, Israel. And the reason is simple. A House vote will show the world the Democrat split on Israel.

The bipartisan Combating BDS Act won 77 votes in the Senate but Speaker Pelosi is letting the anti-Semitic wing of the Democratic Party dictate her agenda. She’s taking orders from Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. And not Israel-loving Americans like you.

That’s why it’s urgent you and I aggressively petition Pelosi now! This crucial pro-Israel measure will pass if it gets to the floor, but that will only happen if we make our voice heard.

That's why I ask you to sign the "Pass the Combating BDS Act of 2019 Now!" petition today.

+ + Your voice is needed now!

It's urgent that we collect thousands of names on this crucial petition and send them—with your name included—to the offices of Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Majority Leader Steny Hoyer.

Please act immediately! It's an outrage that this must-pass measure has been gathering dust in Speaker Pelosi's inbox for eight long months!

Along with your signed petition to Speaker Pelosi, I ask you please make a generous and must-needed gift. Your generosity will help us fight for the Jewish state on Capitol Hill and mobilize Christians to stand with Israel.

But without the help of friends like you, our pro-Israel voice would fall silent.

Please sign the "Pass the Combating BDS Act of 2019 Now!" petition right away and be as generous as you can when you do!

Your friendship with Israel and Christians in Defense of Israel is deeply appreciated and I thank you.
