Netanyahu Surprise, Historic Announcement

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stunned Israeli voters Wednesday. He announced he intends to apply Israeli sovereignty over parts of the "West Bank" — if they return him to office next Tuesday.

Netanyahu is proposing a huge and historic step. And one to which the Jewish state is fully entitled because of God's ancient promise to Abraham — and international law as I explain below.

But Arab leaders and the European Union quickly condemned the move. And the U.S. response was cool — neither endorsing nor condemning Netanyahu's surprise pre-election announcement.

Which is why I ask you to join me and thousands of others in urging President Trump to recognize Israel's God-given and legal right to its land.

And as you sign the petition, please help us fight for Israel with your special gift today. See details below on Netanyahu's historic announcement! -Mat

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu shocked the world this week with a surprise and historic announcement.

With Israeli voters going to the polls next Tuesday, "Bibi" told voters that, if re-elected, he will extend Israeli sovereignty over all Jewish settlements in the so-called West Bank (Judea and Samaria).

And he promised that, if returned to office, he will start immediately by applying Israeli sovereignty over the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea.

+ + Arab world condemns Netanyahu proposal

The Arab world—along with the European Union and Russia—immediately rejected Netanyahu's bold proposal.

The Trump administration itself issued a cool and non-committal reaction. A senior administration official merely stated there was "no change in United States policy at this time."

That's why it's critical that you and I act right now.

Palestinians claim Judea and Samaria (the West Bank) for their future "Palestine" — but God gave this land to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob “for an everlasting possession" (Genesis 17:8).

And U.S. policy needs to recognize that fact.

Which is why I ask you to join me in urging President Trump to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank—Judea and Samaria, the Jewish people's biblical heartland.

You can do so today by signing the "Israeli Sovereignty in Judea and Samaria!" petition now.

+ + Israel's rock-solid claim to its land . . .

God's promise is the bedrock for Israel's claim to its ancient homeland. But Israel has a rock-solid claim to its land—including the "West Bank"—under international law. The reason is simple.

After World War I, the victorious nations—Great Britain, France, Italy and Japan—redrew the Middle East map. These four great powers met in San Remo, Italy on April 24-25, 1920, and there agreed, as a matter of international law, to "the establishment in Palestine of a national home for the Jewish people."

And the boundaries of this "Jewish home" they determined, were to encompass all of biblical Israel including, of course, Judea and Samaria (the West Bank).

The San Remo decision was a dramatic turning point in history. It sparked Jewish celebrations around the world. And no UN resolution since, changes one iota the right to their land granted to the Jewish people at San Remo nearly 100 years ago.

That's why it's an utter lie to call Judea and Samaria "Israeli-occupied territory." Israel is the legitimate and lawful sovereign—not a trespasser.

And why I'm asking you to join me in calling on President Trump to recognize Israeli sovereignty over the West Bank.

Making that recognition would be a huge and historic step.

Prime Minister Netanyahu is leading the way. Now let's call on President Trump to recognize Israel's right to the land God gave to the Jews—including Judea and Samaria.
