You and I live in prophetic times.

God is regathering His people from the four corners of the earth. Seven decades since its rebirth, Israel today is a vibrant, powerful democracy. And its capital, Jerusalem, is under Jewish control for the first time in 2,000 years. It’s a miracle.

Yet most nations refuse to stand with God’s chosen people. The UN is a hotbed of anti-Semitism. Iran is spending billions to destroy Israel. And just three nations—Guatemala, Honduras and tiny Nauru—have joined the U.S. in recognizing Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

Global hostility to Israel—especially to Israeli rule over Jerusalem—is an early sign of God’s promise to “make Jerusalem a very heavy stone for all peoples” (Zechariah 12:3).

But I want you to be encouraged. God is the defender of Israel. His people are the apple of His eye. And you and I have the opportunity in the months ahead to do even more to bless and defend Israel.
