But it didn't condemn Hamas--nor has it ever done so. Instead, the Security Council denounced Israel!

While Israeli families were still grieving their dead, the UN Security Council blasted Israel for building Jewish settlements in the disputed West Bank--also known as Judea and Samaria. And it did so on Israel's Independence Day.

+  +  700 UN condemnations of Israel--none for Hamas.

Jason Greenblatt, the U.S. special envoy for Mideast peace negotiations, expressed outrage at the UN's "obvious, continual anti-Israel bias." In blistering remarks, he told Security Council members:

"It is truly shameful that in these halls there have been nearly 700 resolutions condemning actions of Israel – the region’s only real democracy – yet not one condemning Hamas’ attacks on Israelis or its abuse and neglect of the very people it purports to govern."

Despite this abysmal record, the U.S. is paying the UN's tab. Every year, U.S. taxpayers provide nearly $10 billion to the UN--roughly 22 percent of its total budget.

And year after year, the UN repeatedly condemns Israel--the one stable, democratic and free country in the Middle East.

Just last year, the UN General Assembly passed 21 resolutions condemning  the Jewish state. But only six targeting the rest of the world. The UN treated Israel--a lighthouse of freedom--far worse than rogue regimes like Iran, North Korea or Cuba.

As former U.S. Ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley declared in frustration, the UN is a place of “outrageously biased resolutions” and “breathtaking double standards.”
